Aloha!! (Sorry, I'll stop being so cheery)
The hiatus is over. School is done and my attention can return to my first love: Facebook. So much more time for posting pictures, making snide remarks, and lamenting over the wasteland which is my timeline. Oh, how I have missed you. But things have changed. I've really matured over this last month, and with this maturity is a knowledge that this time will be different.
Ohh who am I kidding? Nothing has really changed. I'm still getting up late, not exercising enough (my doctor tells me I need to do more, but I know this is just a ploy to get me off the couch), and I'm still eating cheese curds for breakfast. What has changed is my desire to write more. If there was one thing which I've missed since not being on Facebook, it was my outlet for lambasting stupid and countering morons was no longer available. I didn't have a way for expressing my frustration over the government, current events, and celebrity news (why did Kim Kardashian have to murder that poor, poor davenport just to make a dress?!?!).
So, that's what this is. A new way to express my opinion and thoughts. Lucky for you it is no longer going to be on Facebook! Instead of me penning long diatribes of dribble on Facebook, it will be here. No longer do you have to sit through my long winded rants only to come to the end thinking, "he did it to me again. He made me sit through one of his damn rants again!" Instead I'll be posting links here, so that when you see the link come up on your timeline, you no longer have to read the whole thing to get pissed. Now you can just come here! Or you can just not click on the link, I really don't care. I mean, I care, but if you don't want to read it, I completely understand and won't hold it against you (twerp).
I'll still be there on Facebook, but in the background more. For me, Facebook has become more of a way to stay in touch with friends and friends around the world. Gone are the days where I'll be putting up motivational pictures with witty remarks on them. Gone are the days of me cooing over your new born child.
If you know me, then you know I am one of the most open minded people you will meet. What ever your hopes and desires, I sincerely wish for them to come true. And if what I write here offends you, I'm sorry. That will never be my intention. That being said, I have never and will never back down for a debate. If you have an opinion which is opposite of mine, good for you. But you better be able to articulate why you feel that way. Please, please voice your comments and concerns, but if you can't do so intelligently, get bent. I have no time for petty minds and conceded thoughts.
